Forty-something First-time Bride Sandee teaches writing and directs the writing center at a small liberal arts college in southwest Virginia, where she writes non-fiction and keeps house in a small purple cottage ruled by three near-geriatric cats.

On any given Saturday you might find her puttering in the craft room, running through the park, searching antique stores for vintage treasures, or hiking a trail and listening to the local music scene with her fiancé Steve.  Though she loves the woods and rivers of home, her most favorite outdoor spaces feature sand, surf, and most especially, shells.

In midlife she surprised herself by taking up mountain biking, modeling, and now marriage, in that order.  The first didn’t really stick, and the last is for a lifetime.  All three are equally terrifying.
